Team
General Manager – Maternity Leave Cover Part-Time
Are you passionate about young people, discipleship, and shaping faith-filled safe conversations that last a lifetime?
Are you an experienced leader passionate about Christian ministry, organisational health, and creating environments where people and purpose can flourish?
Join Big Kids’ Table in a key leadership role supporting our organisation through an important season of transition. Provide operational leadership, support our team, sustain systems, and help ensure BKT continues to grow and thrive while key leaders are on maternity leave.
About the Role:
🔸 Provide steady, supportive leadership across the organisation during a leadership transition period
🔸 Oversee day-to-day operations, systems, processes, and organisational priorities
🔸 Provide financial oversight, including budgets, expenditure, cash flow, and reporting
🔸 Support team wellbeing, culture, communication, and sustainable workloads
🔸 Work closely with the Board and leadership team to maintain organisational stability and momentum
🔸 Identify opportunities to strengthen efficiency, communication, and operational effectiveness
Ideal Candidate:
✔️ Experienced in senior leadership, operations, or general management roles
✔️ Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and organisational systems
✔️ Skilled at mentoring teams and supporting staff wellbeing
✔️ Experience working within a not-for-profit, ministry, or purpose-driven organisation
✔️ Calm, practical, and solutions-focused with strong problem-solving skills
✔️ A committed Christian who aligns deeply with BKT’s mission, values, and desire to see young people flourish
Role Details:
📍 Lilydale, Melbourne (hybrid working model)
🗓️ Fixed-term maternity leave cover: 27 October 2026 – 9 April 2027
⏰ 0.4 FTE (2 days per week)
💰 $80,000 pro rata + superannuation

Board Treasurer
Are you passionate about young people, honest conversations, and good governance?
Do you have financial expertise and a desire to make meaningful impact?
Big Kids’ Table is on a mission to equip communities for safe, nourishing conversations about God, identity, and sexuality. We’re seeking a volunteer Board Treasurer to join our governance team and help steward our growing impact.
About the Role:
🔸 Provide financial oversight and strategic advice
🔸 Support budgeting, reporting, and compliance
🔸 Work closely with the Board and Co-CEOs
🔸 Board meets once every two months.
Ideal Candidate:
✔️ Experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
✔️ Strong attention to detail and communication skills
✔️ Alignment with BKT’s values and mission
